Description

A vibrant and flavorful slaw featuring fresh vegetables, rice noodles, and a tangy hoisin dressing.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded red cabbage
  • 1 cup cooked rice noodles
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon honey or sugar


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine green cabbage, red cabbage, shredded carrots, cooked rice noodles, green onions, and chopped cilantro, tossing to mix.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sriracha, and honey or sugar until smooth.
  3. Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and toss well to coat everything evenly.
  4. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and serve immediately. For better flavor, let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a refreshing twist, chill the slaw for 30 minutes before serving. Adjust sriracha for desired spice level.
