Description

Fudgy chocolate brownies with bursts of roasted cherry sweetness in every bite.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and halved


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
  3. Mix together the melted chocolate mixture, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large bowl.
  4. Fold in the flour and salt until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the fresh cherries.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

Use room-temperature eggs for better mixing and ensure not to overmix the batter for fudgy texture.
