Description
Fudgy chocolate brownies with bursts of roasted cherry sweetness in every bite.
Ingredients
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and halved
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
- Mix together the melted chocolate mixture, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large bowl.
- Fold in the flour and salt until just combined.
- Gently fold in the fresh cherries.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
Use room-temperature eggs for better mixing and ensure not to overmix the batter for fudgy texture.
