Description

Crispy and flavorful Paneer Nuggets, perfect as a snack or appetizer, easy to prepare and delightful to taste.

Ingredients

  • 200 gms Paneer
  • ¾ tbsp Turmeric powder
  • ½ tbsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • ½ tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • Oil (for deep frying)
  • ½ piece Lemon
  • 2 bowls Corn flakes
  • ¾ tbsp Mixed herbs
  • ½ tbsp Chili flakes
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Corn flour
  • Pinch of Black pepper powder
  • Water (for binding paste)

Instructions

  1. Cut the paneer block into 1-inch pieces and set aside.
  2. In a plate, mix ½ tbsp turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and ginger garlic paste with 1 tbsp oil and lemon extract.
  3. Coat the paneer cubes in the spice mix and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Separate corn flakes into two sections – one for grinding and one for crushing.
  5. Mix the ground powder with the crushed corn flakes.
  6. In a bowl, combine ¼ tbsp salt, mixed herbs, chili flakes, all-purpose flour, corn flour, turmeric powder, salt and black pepper to make a binding paste with water.
  7. Drench marinated paneer in the paste and then coat with corn flakes.
  8. Heat oil in a pan until hot, then deep fry paneer cubes until golden brown on both sides.
  9. Remove and place on tissue paper to absorb excess oil. Serve hot with ketchup.

Notes

For a spicier version, add green chilies or use spicy mixed herbs. Don’t overcrowd the pan while frying.
