Description
One-Pan Chicken with Buttered Noodles is a delightful, easy-to-make dish that combines tender chicken and delicious egg noodles in a buttery garlic sauce.
Ingredients
2 chicken breasts (about 1.25 pounds)
8 oz egg noodles
2 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 cup chicken broth
Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)
Instructions
1. Start by heating the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, ensuring they are coated evenly.
3. Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the pan, cooking for approximately 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they're fully cooked and have a beautiful golden brown color. Once done, remove them from the pan and set them aside.
4. In the same pan, add the butter along with the minced garlic. Sauté until the garlic becomes fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.
5. Pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a gentle simmer.
6. While the broth is heating, cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions in a separate pot. Drain and set aside.
7. Add the cooked noodles to the pan with the garlic and broth, tossing to coat them in the buttery sauce.
8. Return the chicken to the pan, combining everything together. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through and meld the flavors.
9. Serve warm, garnished with freshly grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
