Delicious and easy-to-make jalapeno popper twists, perfect for game day snacks or appetizers.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet Puff Pastry (thawed)
- 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
- 1 cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese (or Monterey Jack)
- 1/2 cup Sliced Jalapenos (fresh or pickled)
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 large Egg (for egg wash)
- as needed Dipping Sauces (ranch, sriracha mayo, or honey mustard)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced jalapenos, and garlic powder until well combined.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into strips, about 1-inch wide.
- Place a small amount of the cheese and jalapeno mixture on one end of each strip.
- Twist the pastry around the filling and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the twists for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until they are puffed and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra crunch, consider adding crushed tortilla chips to the cheese mixture. Customize with different types of cheese or add cooked bacon.
