Description

Delicious and easy-to-make jalapeno popper twists, perfect for game day snacks or appetizers.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry (thawed)
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese (or Monterey Jack)
  • 1/2 cup Sliced Jalapenos (fresh or pickled)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 large Egg (for egg wash)
  • as needed Dipping Sauces (ranch, sriracha mayo, or honey mustard)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced jalapenos, and garlic powder until well combined.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into strips, about 1-inch wide.
  4. Place a small amount of the cheese and jalapeno mixture on one end of each strip.
  5. Twist the pastry around the filling and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the twists for a golden finish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until they are puffed and golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider adding crushed tortilla chips to the cheese mixture. Customize with different types of cheese or add cooked bacon.
