A comforting creamy casserole with tender potatoes, savory ham, and melted cheddar cheese.
Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup cooked ham, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes.
- Sprinkle half of the diced ham and half of the cheese over the potatoes.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, ham, and cheese.
- In a bowl, mix the heavy cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture over the layered ingredients in the baking dish.
- Dot the top with butter.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
