Ingredients
- Chicken (any cut)
- Soy sauce
- Brown sugar
- Ketchup
- Rice vinegar
- Garlic (minced)
- Ginger (grated)
- Sesame oil
- Pineapple juice
- Green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and pineapple juice in a bowl to create the marinade.
- Place the chicken in a resealable bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Seal or cover and marinate for at least 1 hour (up to overnight) in the refrigerator.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from the marinade and discard the remaining marinade.
- Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and no longer pink inside.
- If cooking in the oven, preheat to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve.
Notes
For more flavor, let the chicken marinate overnight. Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
