Description

Ginger Sesame Beef Lettuce Wraps are a delightful dish packed with savory beef, aromatic ginger, and crispy lettuce, perfect for a quick dinner or fun appetizer.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

1 teaspoon rice vinegar

1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)

1/4 cup green onions, sliced

1 head butter or romaine lettuce, leaves separated

1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

1. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat.

2. Add minced garlic and grated ginger; sauté until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes.

3. Incorporate the ground beef into the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks, approximately 5–6 minutes.

4. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and optional chili flakes. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 2–3 minutes.

5. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in sliced green onions.

6. Spoon the beef mixture into lettuce leaves, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use sturdy lettuce leaves like butter lettuce or romaine for better holding.

Store any leftover beef filling in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.

These wraps pair well with a side of steamed rice, quinoa, or a light Asian salad.
