Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary
- Coarse sea salt for topping
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add olive oil, salt, minced garlic, and rosemary to the yeast mixture.
- Gradually mix in the flour until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Divide the dough into muffin-sized portions and place in greased muffin tins.
- Allow to rise for an additional 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle coarse sea salt on top and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, consider using fresh rosemary and ensuring proper kneading for better texture. Don’t skip the sea salt topping for contrast.
