Description
A delicious and comforting meal combining tender chicken thighs with a rich cream and Parmesan cheese sauce.
Ingredients
- 6 bone-in skinless chicken thighs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano/thyme)
- ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley or dill (chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel and season both sides with paprika, salt, and pepper to taste.
- In an oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken thighs to the skillet and sear each side for about 3–4 minutes, or until they are golden brown. Remove the chicken and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring well. Then, add the grated Parmesan cheese and dried Italian herbs. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 2–3 minutes until it begins to thicken slightly.
- Return the chicken thighs to the skillet and spoon the creamy sauce over the top, ensuring each piece is well coated.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Once cooked, garnish with fresh parsley or dill before serving.
Notes
