Description

A delightful frozen treat combining sweet and tart cherries into a refreshing sorbet that’s easy to make at home.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice


Instructions

  1. Combine the sugar and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar completely dissolves.
  2. Add the pitted cherries and lemon juice to the saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
  3. Blend the cherry mixture until smooth using a blender or food processor.
  4. Pour the blended mixture into a shallow dish and freeze for about 120-180 minutes, stirring every 30 minutes until it reaches a sorbet-like consistency.
  5. Serve in bowls and enjoy your refreshing cherry sorbet!

Notes

Chill the cherries beforehand for a firmer texture. Adjust sweetness to taste and consider using an ice cream maker for a creamier texture.
