Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Combine the sugar and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar completely dissolves.
- Add the pitted cherries and lemon juice to the saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
- Blend the cherry mixture until smooth using a blender or food processor.
- Pour the blended mixture into a shallow dish and freeze for about 120-180 minutes, stirring every 30 minutes until it reaches a sorbet-like consistency.
- Serve in bowls and enjoy your refreshing cherry sorbet!
Notes
Chill the cherries beforehand for a firmer texture. Adjust sweetness to taste and consider using an ice cream maker for a creamier texture.
