Description

Delicious cherry muffins that blend the sweetness of fresh cherries with a soft, fluffy muffin base.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1 tablespoon sugar for topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the cherries gently.
  5. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups. Sprinkle the tops with sugar.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy!
