Description
A unique twist on the classic sandwich with a creamy hung curd filling and spices, grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
- 1 cup curd
- ½ onion (chopped)
- 1 tsp green chilli (chopped)
- 1 tbsp coriander (chopped)
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp oregano
- 4 bread slices (brown)
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 8 curry leaves
Instructions
- Place a sieve over a bowl, line it with muslin cloth, and add 1 cup curd to drain excess water for a few hours to make hung curd.
- Transfer hung curd to a bowl and mix in the chopped onion, green chilli, coriander, salt, and oregano.
- Spread the mixture on one slice of brown bread and cover with another slice. Repeat for remaining slices.
- Heat a tawa, add oil, mustard seeds, and curry leaves for tadka.
- Place the sandwiches on the tawa and roast until golden brown and crispy, flipping to cook both sides.
- Cut the sandwiches in the center and serve warm with green chutney and tomato ketchup.
Notes
Ensure the curd is well-drained for the best texture. You can also add chopped vegetables for extra crunch.
