Description

A savory and creamy chicken dish that’s easy to prepare and perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • A pinch of salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Optional: caramelized onions for garnish
  • Optional: shredded Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken by sprinkling salt, black pepper, and paprika over both sides.
  2. Heat a large pan over medium heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from the pan.
  3. In the same pan, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and add minced garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken stock and honey, scraping the browned bits from the pan to enhance the sauce.
  5. Return the chicken to the pan, spoon sauce over it, and cook uncovered for 5-7 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  6. Sprinkle cheese on top if using, cover briefly to melt.
  7. Garnish with parsley and optional caramelized onions before serving.

Notes

Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. For flavor variations, try adding BBQ sauce or soy sauce.
