Description

A delightful appetizer combining sweet pineapple and savory kielbasa, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 14 oz. beef kielbasa, sliced into 1/2-inch chunks
  • 20 oz. can pineapple chunks, drained, reserving about 1 tablespoon of the juice
  • 3 Tbsp. Teriyaki sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. sweet chili sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 Tbsp. reserved pineapple juice
  • 1 tsp. neutral cooking oil
  • Plain toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef kielbasa into bite-sized chunks, about 1/2 inch thick. Set aside.
  2. Drain the canned pineapple chunks, reserving at least 1 tablespoon of the pineapple juice. Set the pineapple aside.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the Teriyaki sauce, sweet chili sauce, honey, and reserved pineapple juice until smooth.
  4. Heat 1 teaspoon of cooking oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add kielbasa chunks and sear for 3-5 minutes per side until browned. Remove from skillet.
  5. Add drained pineapple chunks to the same skillet. Reduce heat to medium, pour the glaze over the kielbasa and pineapple, and stir to coat.
  6. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the glaze thickens. Remove from heat.
  7. Serve warm, skewering the kielbasa and pineapple onto toothpicks for easy eating.

Notes

Serve immediately for best flavor. Can be made ahead, but final assembly is best just before serving.
