Delightful wraps combining tender chicken and sweet chili sauce, enveloped in a soft tortilla.
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 1 cup sweet chili sauce
- 4 large flour tortillas (or whole wheat for a healthier option)
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced cucumbers
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- ¼ cup chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil (or olive oil) for cooking
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the sweet chili sauce and stir until the chicken is well coated, simmering for another 2-3 minutes.
- Warm the tortillas in a skillet for about 30 seconds on each side, or microwave for a few seconds until soft.
- Assemble the wraps by starting with a tortilla, add shredded lettuce, then top with the sweet chili chicken mixture.
- Add diced cucumbers, shredded carrots, and chopped green onions.
- Roll up the tortilla tightly, folding in the ends, and slice in half. Serve immediately.
Notes
For more flavor, marinate the chicken in sweet chili sauce for at least 30 minutes before cooking. Cook chicken in batches to prevent overcrowding, and always use fresh vegetables for best taste.
