Description

A delightful dish that unites steak and shrimp in a colorful noodle stir-fry, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz lo mein or yakisoba noodles
  • 1/2 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup baby spinach or bok choy
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper (optional)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. In a hot wok or large skillet, heat the vegetable oil. Add the steak cubes and season lightly with salt and pepper. Sear until browned on all sides, about 3–5 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, add the shrimp. Sauté until they turn pink and curl up, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside with the steak.
  3. Add minced garlic, sliced onion, bell pepper, shredded carrots, and your choice of greens to the pan. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet crisp.
  4. Add the cooked noodles to the pan, then pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Stir everything together to ensure the noodles are well coated.
  5. Return the cooked steak and shrimp to the pan, mixing them into the noodle mixture. Stir well to heat through and serve hot.

Notes

Use fresh vegetables for better flavor and nutrition. Adjust spice levels according to your preference.
