Description

A delightful dish bringing together tender chicken, fragrant garlic, and savory noodles in a sticky sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes to create a flavorful sauce.
  2. Toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the coated chicken to the skillet, cooking for 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
  5. Pour the prepared sauce over the cooked chicken and let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes to thicken.
  6. Meanwhile, cook the noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  7. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the chicken and toss evenly.
  8. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, then serve hot.

Notes

For gluten-free, use rice noodles and gluten-free soy sauce. Adjust sweetness to taste by modifying the honey or soy sauce.
