Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, cornstarch, and water.
- Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and bring to a simmer, cooking until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
- Serve the sticky chicken over cooked rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the soy sauce mixture for 30 minutes before cooking. You can also use brown rice for a healthier option.
