A delightful condiment that blends the spiciness of radishes with a tangy pickling solution, perfect for enhancing any meal.
Ingredients
- 1 bunch radishes, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup rice vinegar or white vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 clove garlic, sliced (optional)
Instructions
- Place thinly sliced radishes in a clean jar or bowl.
- In a small saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar, salt, and chili flakes. Heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Pour the hot pickling liquid over the radishes, making sure they are fully submerged.
- Let cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
For the best flavors, allow your radishes to pickle for at least a few hours, but overnight is even better!
