Description

A simple and delicious spaghetti dish with garlic and fresh spinach, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 6 cups fresh spinach
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
  • Lemon wedges, for serving


Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add the fresh spinach and cook until wilted, stirring occasionally.
  5. If using, add the red pepper flakes and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet with the spinach and garlic, mixing well to combine.
  7. Serve with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the spinach; it should be wilted but still bright green. Adjust the amount of garlic to your liking.
