Ingredients
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 6 cups fresh spinach
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the fresh spinach and cook until wilted, stirring occasionally.
- If using, add the red pepper flakes and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet with the spinach and garlic, mixing well to combine.
- Serve with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
Make sure not to overcook the spinach; it should be wilted but still bright green. Adjust the amount of garlic to your liking.
