A comforting and flavorful Southern Corn Casserole that is easy to prepare and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 can (15 oz) creamed corn
- 1 package (8.5 oz) corn muffin mix
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the whole kernel corn, creamed corn, corn muffin mix, sour cream, and melted butter.
- Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Optionally, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is set.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding cooked bacon bits or diced jalapeños. Use different types of cheese for a twist on the flavor. Grease the baking dish well to prevent sticking.
