  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in molasses, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
