Ingredients
- 2 racks of pork ribs
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Start by removing the membrane from the back of the ribs.
- Mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Generously rub the spice mixture all over the ribs.
- Place the ribs in the slow cooker, standing them upright if possible.
- Combine the barbecue sauce and apple cider vinegar, stirring well.
- Pour the mixture over the ribs, ensuring they are well-coated.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 360-480 minutes or on high for 180-240 minutes.
- Remove the ribs from the slow cooker and brush with additional barbecue sauce if desired.
- Broil the ribs in the oven for a few minutes for a crispy exterior if desired.
Notes
Choose baby back or spare ribs for the best results. Let them rest before serving for juicy meat.
