Description
A hearty slow-cooked beef brisket in a rich barbecue sauce, perfect for gatherings and meal prep.
Ingredients
- 4-5 pounds beef brisket
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Place the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, mix together the beef broth, barbecue sauce, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, ground cumin, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Rub the sauce mixture all over the brisket.
- Place the brisket in the slow cooker on top of the onion and garlic.
- Cook on low for 480-600 minutes or on high for 240-360 minutes, until the meat is tender.
- Remove the brisket and let it rest before slicing or shredding.
- Serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider searing the brisket before slow cooking. Adjust the barbecue sauce to your preference.
