Ingredients
- 2 pounds Pork Shoulder/Butt Roast
- 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
- 1/4 cup Rice Vinegar
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 1/4 cup Hoisin Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha/Chili Garlic Sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon White Pepper
- 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
- 1/4 cup Water
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and cut it into large chunks.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, fresh ginger, sriracha, and white pepper.
- Place the pork pieces in the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over them.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours until the pork is tender.
- Remove the pork and shred it using two forks.
- Mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry, stir it into the sauce, and cook on high for an additional 15 minutes until thickened.
- Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix with the sauce. Serve hot.
