Description

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs fresh spinach (or 2 bags, chopped)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Nutmeg (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and garlic and sauté until softened.
  3. Add the spinach and cook until wilted.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg if using.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle the top with bread crumbs.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, until the top is golden and crispy.
  7. Serve hot as a delicious side dish.
