Description

Delightful red velvet truffles combining the classic flavors of red velvet cake and chocolate, perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • Sprinkles or cocoa powder for decoration (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the cake mix box instructions and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the red velvet cake mix, softened cream cheese, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  3. Using a cookie scoop, roll small portions of the mixture into balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven following the cake mix instructions until baked through (about 10-12 minutes). Check for doneness.
  5. Allow the cake balls to cool completely on a wire rack.
  6. Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  7. Once cooled, dip each cake ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring even coverage.
  8. Place the coated truffles back on parchment paper and decorate with sprinkles or cocoa powder if desired.
  9. Allow the coating to set completely at room temperature before serving.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is softened to room temperature for even mixing. Chill cake balls if too soft before coating.
