Description

Delightful cookies that combine the rich flavor of red velvet cake with the iconic crunch of Oreo cookies. Perfect for celebrations and sweet treats.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 cup Oreo cookies, chopped


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cocoa powder, and red food coloring.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped Oreo cookies.
  7. Drop tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
