Description

Savory and creamy Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella Bites make for a delicious snack or appetizer perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 package prosciutto
  • 1 package mozzarella balls (about 12 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  2. Open the package of prosciutto and gently separate the slices, laying them flat on a clean surface.
  3. Take the mozzarella balls out of their packaging and drain any excess liquid. Cut them in half if they are large.
  4. Place one mozzarella ball in the center of each prosciutto slice and wrap the prosciutto around the mozzarella ball, ensuring it is fully enclosed.
  5. Continue wrapping all mozzarella balls in prosciutto slices.
  6. Heat the olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat and add the dried oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Brush the seasoned olive oil mixture over each wrapped mozzarella bite.
  8. Arrange the bites on the prepared baking sheet, spaced slightly apart.
  9. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the prosciutto is crispy and slightly golden.
  10. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. If desired, sprinkle chopped fresh basil on top.
  11. Serve immediately and enjoy.
