Description
Savory and creamy Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella Bites make for a delicious snack or appetizer perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 package prosciutto
- 1 package mozzarella balls (about 12 oz)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Open the package of prosciutto and gently separate the slices, laying them flat on a clean surface.
- Take the mozzarella balls out of their packaging and drain any excess liquid. Cut them in half if they are large.
- Place one mozzarella ball in the center of each prosciutto slice and wrap the prosciutto around the mozzarella ball, ensuring it is fully enclosed.
- Continue wrapping all mozzarella balls in prosciutto slices.
- Heat the olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat and add the dried oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Brush the seasoned olive oil mixture over each wrapped mozzarella bite.
- Arrange the bites on the prepared baking sheet, spaced slightly apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the prosciutto is crispy and slightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. If desired, sprinkle chopped fresh basil on top.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. Reheat in the oven at a low temperature.
