Description

A delightful dish featuring crispy, breaded chicken with a rich, tangy mustard-cheddar sauce, perfect for family dinners or impressing guests.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 cups pretzel crumbs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with pretzel crumbs mixed with garlic powder.
  4. Dip each chicken breast in flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the pretzel crumbs.
  5. Heat cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the mustard and cheddar cheese.
  7. Transfer the fried chicken to a baking dish, top with the mustard-cheddar sauce, and bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Use fresh pretzel crumbs for best flavor; monitor oil temperature when frying; check chicken for doneness.
