A delicious twist on the classic sandwich, Philly Cheesesteak Bowls combine tender beef, flavorful vegetables, and melted provolone cheese in a wholesome bowl format.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 slices provolone cheese (6-8 oz), cut into strips
- 4 cups riced cauliflower
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef in a single layer and cook for 3-4 minutes without moving.
- Remove the beef and set it aside. In the same skillet, add bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms, and sauté for 5-7 minutes, adding garlic during the last minute.
- In a separate skillet, melt butter and sauté riced cauliflower for 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Return the beef to the vegetable skillet, add Worcestershire sauce, and season to taste. Stir for 1 minute.
- Arrange provolone cheese strips over the mixture, cover, and let melt for 1-2 minutes.
- Divide cauliflower rice among bowls and top with the beef and vegetable mixture. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For best results, slice the meat thinly and use fresh vegetables. Adjust seasoning to taste and feel free to customize your bowl with additional toppings.
