Description
A delightful mix of crispy exterior and soft, cheesy filling, perfect for a snack or light meal.
Ingredients
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tomato, chopped, seedless
- 1 tsp ginger, chopped
- 1 tsp green chilli, chopped
- 1/2 tsp chaat masala powder
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp coriander, chopped
- 150 g paneer
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
- A handful coriander leaves
- 6–7 garlic cloves
- 1/2 inch ginger
- 3 green chillies
- 2 tbsp roasted chana dal
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Water as required
- Butter as required
- 6–8 bread slices
Instructions
- In a blender, combine coriander leaves, garlic, ginger, green chillies, roasted chana dal, and salt. Add water gradually to make a smooth paste. Keep aside.
- In a bowl, mix chopped onion, tomato, ginger, green chilli, chaat masala, red chilli powder, salt, and coriander. Let it rest, squeeze out extra moisture, and add grated paneer and cheese. Mix well.
- Butter one side of each bread slice. Spread green chutney on the unbuttered side, add the paneer stuffing, and top with another bread slice, buttered side facing out.
- Heat a tawa and place the sandwich buttered side down. Toast until golden and crispy on both sides, applying more butter as needed.
- Remove from the tawa, cut into halves or triangles, and serve hot with green chutney and tomato ketchup.
Notes
Ensure the paneer is crumbled finely for best results. Adjust spices based on your preference.
