Ingredients

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 chicken sausages, sliced
  • 2 cups steamed broccoli
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the orzo pasta and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer.
  4. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  5. Gently fold in the steamed broccoli and grated parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy your one-pan meal!

Notes

For added flavor, try using different kinds of chicken sausage. Substitute fresh broccoli with frozen, and consider adding red pepper flakes for a bit of spice.
