Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
- In a shallow dish, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Dip each chicken breast in the flour mixture, then in the eggs, and finally in the breadcrumbs.
- Heat 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter and 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the breaded chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove the chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat and add 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter and minced garlic; sauté for 1 minute.
- Add chicken broth and lemon juice, stirring and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add heavy cream and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Return chicken to the skillet and heat for an additional minute.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For extra crispy chicken, use panko breadcrumbs. Adjust garlic and lemon levels to taste.
