Ingredients
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In another bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Alternately add the flour mixture and milk to the creamed mixture, beginning and ending with the flour. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
- Serve plain or topped with fresh berries and whipped cream.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for better blending. Measure flour correctly to avoid a dense cake. Avoid overmixing to keep the cake light and fluffy.
