Description
A creamy, flavorful dish that combines succulent chicken with a rich sauce, perfect for impressing loved ones or indulging in a delightful dinner at home.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- Fresh basil, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add minced garlic; sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream, chicken broth, and grated Parmesan, stirring until the sauce is smooth and cheese melts.
- Stir in red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and sun-dried tomatoes; bring to a simmer.
- Return the seared chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over the chicken.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (73°C).
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with freshly chopped basil.
Notes
Don’t skip the searing for the juiciest chicken. Adjust the spice level by modifying the red pepper flakes. Use fresh ingredients for best flavor.
