Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup macaroni noodles
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the macaroni noodles according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
- In a separate bowl, combine the cooked macaroni and 1 cup of the shredded cheese with the milk.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the meat mixture at the bottom.
- Add the macaroni and cheese mixture on top of it, then finish with the remaining meat mixture.
- Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-55 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Use a mix of cheeses for more flavor and add vegetables for extra nutrition.
