Description
A simple, delicious, and low-carb skillet meal packed with ground beef, broccoli, and cheese, perfect for a ketogenic diet.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 6–8 minutes.
- Push the beef to one side and add the diced onion and garlic. Cook for about 3 minutes until the onion is translucent.
- Add the broccoli and sauté briefly before seasoning with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Cover the skillet and cook for 5–7 minutes until broccoli is tender.
- Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream, scraping up browned bits from the pan.
- Sprinkle cheese on top, cover again, and cook for another 2–3 minutes until cheese is melted.
- If using, drizzle Worcestershire sauce and sprinkle red pepper flakes. Stir everything to combine.
- Serve hot, straight from the pan.
Notes
Opt for lean beef for a lighter dish, and feel free to add more veggies or spices based on your preference.
