Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet until shimmering. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart, and cook until deeply browned, about 6–8 minutes.
  2. Push the beef to one side of the skillet and add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook for about 3 minutes until onion is translucent and garlic is fragrant.
  3. Stir in broccoli florets, tossing with the beef mixture. Let them sauté for a minute.
  4. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir thoroughly to coat.
  5. Cover with a lid and cook for 5–7 minutes until broccoli is tender but crisp.
  6. Reduce heat to low, pour in the heavy cream, and stir gently to combine.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top and cover to cook until melted, about 2–3 minutes.
  8. If using Worcestershire sauce and red pepper flakes, drizzle and sprinkle them over the melted cheese, stirring gently.
  9. Remove from heat and serve hot.

Notes

For best results, use ground beef with a higher fat content. Don’t overcook the broccoli to maintain a crunchy texture.
