Description

An easy and delicious Honey Hoisin Chicken recipe combining sweet and savory flavors that your family will adore.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Optional: sesame seeds or green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the hoisin sauce, honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic until well combined.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Sear the chicken on both sides until golden and nearly cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side.
  5. Pour the honey hoisin sauce into the pan, reducing the heat to low.
  6. Simmer until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens into a lovely glaze, about 5 minutes more.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired, and serve hot over rice or steamed vegetables.

Notes

Choose chicken thighs for juiciness, and marinate for added flavor if possible. Adjust sweetness to your taste.
