Description

A delightful dish that combines the sweetness of corn with a creamy sauce, perfect as a side dish for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 10 ounce bag frozen corn (or canned corn, drained well)
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt (or plain salt)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • Pinch of garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (salted)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (or shredded Parmesan)
  • Fresh cracked pepper & salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk the milk and flour together and set aside.
  2. In a medium-sized skillet over medium heat, add the whipping cream, seasoned salt, pepper, sugar, garlic powder, and butter. Mix as the butter melts.
  3. Once melted, stir in the corn and then add the milk and flour mixture.
  4. Continue stirring over medium heat until the sauce thickens and the corn cooks through.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese until completely melted.
  6. Season with fresh cracked pepper and salt to taste. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Use fresh corn in peak season for a sweeter flavor. Adjust the creaminess by adding more or less cream based on preference.
