Description

A comforting one-dish meal featuring layers of ground beef, potatoes, and cheese, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a baking dish, layer sliced potatoes, followed by the cooked beef mixture.
  4. Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the top, spreading it evenly.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
  8. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Great with a simple salad or bread. Can store leftovers for 3 to 4 days in the fridge.
