A comforting one-dish meal featuring layers of ground beef, potatoes, and cheese, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 onion, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- In a baking dish, layer sliced potatoes, followed by the cooked beef mixture.
- Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the top, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
