Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • Heart-shaped cookie cutter


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter gently. Stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder to the bowl. Stir until everything is just combined. If you’re using chocolate chips, fold them in last.
  4. Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
  7. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out heart-shaped brownies.
  8. Serve and enjoy!
