Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- Heart-shaped cookie cutter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter gently. Stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Add the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder to the bowl. Stir until everything is just combined. If you’re using chocolate chips, fold them in last.
- Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
- Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out heart-shaped brownies.
- Serve and enjoy!
