Description

A delicious and healthy dish featuring ground turkey, colorful bell peppers, and spices, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for sautéing
  • Cooked rice or lettuce leaves for serving


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté until translucent.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Add the ground turkey to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  4. Stir in the chopped bell peppers, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the peppers are tender.
  6. Serve over rice, in lettuce wraps, or as taco filling.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
