Description

A simple yet delicious pork chop recipe that is quick to prepare and packed with flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 medium pork chops
  • Salt + pepper
  • 60g melted butter
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 15ml extra virgin olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C / 428°F.
  2. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, melt the butter and stir in the minced garlic, chopped thyme, and a squeeze of lemon juice.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
  5. Sear the pork chops for 2 minutes per side in the hot skillet.
  6. Pour the butter mixture into the skillet and baste the pork chops with the melted butter.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10-14 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  8. Let the chops rest for 5 minutes before serving. Spoon some of the flavorful butter over the chops before enjoying.

Notes

Let the pork chops rest after cooking to keep them juicy. Use a meat thermometer for perfect cooking.
