Description

This Go-To Meatloaf is a classic comfort food, easy to make and perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For glaze: 1/2 cup ketchup and 2 tbsp brown sugar


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, ketchup, barbecue sauce, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the ketchup and brown sugar for the glaze and spread it over the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 1 hour or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
  6. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Make sure to mix the ingredients well for a uniform flavor. Avoid overmixing, as this can make the meatloaf tough. You can add your favorite herbs and spices to customize the flavor.
