- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
- 1 head butter or romaine lettuce, leaves separated
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger; sauté until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes.
- Incorporate the ground beef into the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks, approximately 5–6 minutes.
- Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and optional chili flakes. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 2–3 minutes.
- Remove the skillet from heat and stir in sliced green onions.
- Spoon the beef mixture into lettuce leaves, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve immediately.
