Description
Light and airy pancakes that are perfect for breakfast, family gatherings, or lazy Sundays.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Cooking spray or additional butter for the pan
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined (do not overmix; it’s okay if there are a few lumps).
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with cooking spray or butter.
- Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings like syrup, fruit, or whipped cream.
Notes
Don’t overmix the batter. Use fresh ingredients for best results. Preheat the pan properly for optimal cooking.
