Description
A delicious chicken marinade ideal for grilling or pan-searing, infusing chicken with flavor and tenderness.
Ingredients
- 700g chicken breast, tenderloins, or thighs
- 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 5 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp black pepper, ground
- Finely chopped parsley (for garnish)
- Lemon slices (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pound the chicken breast to even thickness using a meat pounder or rolling pin.
- Prepare the marinade by mixing honey, olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, oregano, and black pepper in a ziplock bag.
- Add the chicken to the marinade and seal the bag tightly.
- Marinate the chicken for a minimum of 30 minutes or refrigerate for up to overnight.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken according to thickness.
- Transfer cooked chicken to a plate, cover with foil, and let it rest for 3 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, use fresh garlic and herbs. Letting the chicken marinate longer enhances flavor.
