Description

A delicious chicken marinade ideal for grilling or pan-searing, infusing chicken with flavor and tenderness.


Ingredients

  • 700g chicken breast, tenderloins, or thighs
  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper, ground
  • Finely chopped parsley (for garnish)
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Pound the chicken breast to even thickness using a meat pounder or rolling pin.
  2. Prepare the marinade by mixing honey, olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, oregano, and black pepper in a ziplock bag.
  3. Add the chicken to the marinade and seal the bag tightly.
  4. Marinate the chicken for a minimum of 30 minutes or refrigerate for up to overnight.
  5. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken according to thickness.
  6. Transfer cooked chicken to a plate, cover with foil, and let it rest for 3 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, use fresh garlic and herbs. Letting the chicken marinate longer enhances flavor.
